The Children’s House is a Montessori-based K-8 school in Indianapolis. The Children’s House was founded in 1971 to provide a classical education through individual instruction. Today, in an atmosphere free of competition, the child can discover his or her unique talents on the way to becoming a self actualized person. The Children’s House offers primary education in Math, Science, Reading, and Art. Music, Yoga, Latin, Literature, and History are also integral components of the school’s curriculum.
The Children’s House is one of the most affordable private schools in the city. This concert benefits the scholarship fund for the school, which was established in honor of Louise Brannon, retired directress and founder of the school.
This benefit concert is being organized by TJ Reynolds, local musician and artist who is also the music teacher at the Children’s House. In addition to the concert, a number of local businesses have donated goods and gift certificates to be auctioned off.

This show is Kate Lamont’s first show since being struck by a car while in Austin, Texan for SXSW. She’s been healing beautifully, and her voice is as clairvoyant as ever. Mina and the Wondrous Flying Machine is the debut of the Freehand Orchestra’s keyboardist/singer Mina Keohane’s group. She is an accomplished Jazz musician, music teacher and graduate of Berkley School of Music. Son of Thought & F.I.R.E. are local conscious Hip-hop torch-bearers, and Sphie is an Indiana-born singer-pianist currently residing in Idaho, who’s music is much in the vein of Fiona Apple.
