The Children’s House teachers will be on retreat Monday, August 30.
As a kick-off event for our Focus on Architecture (1st quarter, 2010-2011 school year), teachers will tour the Frank Lloyd Wright SAMARA house in West Lafayette.
Afterwards they will all attend day-long planning workshop to discuss the integrated curriculum details and finalize other first semester plans.
Registration is open for the 2010-2011 school year.

Another wonderful Summer Camp is winding down. This week is “Flight Week”. Campers have decorated cut-out butterflys, and have made kites.
Next week will be “Down on the Farm”. Students will be guided through some cooking lessons, make their own butter, and visit a “city” farm.
The week of August 16th thru August 20th will be the End of Summer Celebrations.
The last week of camp will be August 23rd thru August 27th [Extended week two].
The Children's House was founded in 1971 to provide a classical education through individual instruction. Today, in an atmosphere free of competition, the child can discover his or her unique talents on the way to becoming a self actualized person. The Children's House offers primary education in Math, Science, Reading, and Art. Music, Yoga, Latin, Literature, History, and Dance are also integral components of the school's curriculum.
